Association of Power Companies
The Association of Power Companies (APC) is a private company limited by guarantee, established under Zambia's Companies Act No. 10 of 2017. We are a registered organization in the Republic of Zambia, serving as a business association that represents the interests of the entire power sector and related economic and production sectors in Zambia.
Established in 2011, following the inaugural meeting at Copperbelt Energy Corporation in Lusaka, APC was created to provide a structured platform for industry discussions, policy advocacy, and collaborative development of the power sector.
Interface with Government, regulators, financiers and consumers to influence policy
Foster regional partnerships and knowledge-sharing with entities like SADC power associations
Provide technical workshops and research on renewable energy, grid modernization and tariff reform
Promote ethical practices and compliance within the power sector
Composition: Chairperson, Vice Chairperson and three (3) members
Term Limits: Maximum of two (2) consecutive terms (two years each)
Key Roles & Responsibilities:
Leadership: Headed by the Chief Executive Officer
The Secretariat manages day-to-day operations, financial management, and implementation of decisions.

Dr. Sakala holds a PhD in Energy Economics and has over 15 years of experience in power sector management and policy development.
Head of Operations
Mary oversees daily operations and member services with a focus on operational excellence and stakeholder engagement.
Finance Manager
David manages financial planning, budgeting, and reporting with expertise in financial management and audit.
Communications Officer
Linda handles all communications, public relations, and stakeholder engagement initiatives for the association.
