Association of Power Companies
The Association of Power Companies (APC) is a private company limited by guarantee, established under Zambia's Companies Act No. 10 of 2017. We are a registered organization in the Republic of Zambia, serving as a business association that represents the interests of the entire power sector, APC works to promote a conducive business environment and advocates for policies that support the growth and sustainability of the industry. APC was created to provide a structured platform for industry discussions, policy advocacy, and collaborative development of the power sector.
Interface with Government, regulators, financiers and consumers to influence policy
Share knowledge with other players in the industry
Provide opportunities to engage in technical workshops addressing key power sector topics such as energy systems, market reforms, grid modernization, and tariff methodologies, complemented by applied research to strengthen institutional capacity and support evidence-based decision-making in the sector
Advocate for strengthened ethical standards and full compliance with regulatory requirements across the power sector.
Composition: President and five (5) board members.
